you need to get back the display driver from the website of your video card manufacturer ... like Nvidia GeForce or Ati stuff ... etc...
and reinstall the drivers from scratch ...
Windows is not sensitive on those HIGH END FEATURE in games (polygon drawing and rendering), so it won't sense any issue.
Only gaming will have problem is normal, since it use advance math and matrix drawing technique, CORRECT DRIVER is needed.
