近年很多減肥丸 / 瘦身產品 也會加入綠茶精華 (Green Tea Extract) 成份,是因為綠茶對減肥很有幫助,但因為我們不能以綠茶充當白開水飲用,所以便出現了綠茶精華 (Green Tea Extract) 來代替飲用大量綠茶。
綠茶中的芳香族化合物能溶解脂肪,防止脂肪積存體內,另外綠茶中的多酚可以減緩和抑制澱粉消化吸收,它亦能抑制腸胃中蔗糖轉換成酵素的活性,阻止糖類吸收,此外綠茶也可增加體液、營養和熱量的新陳代謝,強化微血管循環,減低脂肪沈積體內‧

一項研究指出,美國和瑞士科學家對減肥有利綠茶和閉幕結果被刊登在美國臨床營養JOURNAL泌尿科. During the course of their study, they have found that green tea contains certain compounds that contribute to its weight loss benefit.在學習過程中,他們發現,綠茶含有一些化合物,它有助於減肥有利.

Lead researcher, D. Abdul Dulloo said in a press release that there are only two ways to achieve weight loss – either reduce energy intake or increase energy expenditure.鉛研究員、丁說阿卜杜勒dulloo新聞稿說有兩條途徑達到減肥-要麽減少能量攝入或增加能量消耗.
