Why can we see a magnified, upright image by using a magnifying glass when we hold the magnifying glass close to the object?

Why can we see a diminished, inverted image by using a magnifying glass when we hold the magnifying glass far away from the object?

如果近個 object, 意思係, 個 object distance < focal length, 那麼 image 會係 virtual, enlarged 同 upright. 而當 object distance 遠過 focal length, 那麼 image 會係 real, diminished 同 inverted. 可以參看呢條 link 入面 Imaging properties 的 section 頭兩幅圖.

首先應該指出放大鏡是凸透鏡的一種。
其次,資料不完全正確。當物距小於焦距兩倍並大於焦距,會形成放大且倒置的實像。
