1) During the construction of Tsing Ma Bridge, the bad influences of environment are:
- Water pollution. When building the bridge towers, sea nearby was polluted by the construction materials.
- Sound pollution. There are noise produced during construction.
- Changing the shape of hills and removing trees in Tsing Yi, Ma Wan and Lantau. That change the original natural environment. The living creatures there may lose their home or need to move to other places.
- Air polluti0n. Dusts are created during the construction.
- Creating more rubbish.
2. Tourism and recreational facilities should be further develoed on Lantau Island because:
- That can prevent government to use the area for industrial purposes or recycling centers, etc.
- Usually we need to keep places for tourism and recreational facilities clean and tidy. That will help to preserve the natural environment there.
However, the development should be arranged in proper manner to preserve the natural environment.

1) Water pollution while they transporting the building materials and when they constructing the base for the bridge, Deforestation while they have to plan the roads and tranportations of building materials, possibily sound pollution??

2) definatly, BUT, depends on how well your 'selling' your facilities, think about it, even IF you got tones and tones of 1st class facilities, but no one bothered to sell them, therefore, no use. And WHY having facilities in Lantau, because Lantau is a very environmental place, may be it is 1 of the best air quality in Hong Kong, so the Governent should use this idea to develop more and more environmental facilities, for example, Zoos, Parks or some kind of animals habitats place. BENIFITS, there are lots of benifits to develop this place, because firstly, more tourists, and secondly, more animals MIGHT choose HONG KONG as a breeding place, so proffestionals might come to HONG KONG to do some research, therefore, HONG KONG will have an higher reputation in the world.
