You can change some Malaysian Ringgit (RM) as soon as you arrive in KLIA with the major banks (Maybank, RHB, Bumiputra Commerce Bank), but bear in mind that banks' rate is the WORST, especially Maybank. It's better to change most of your money with numerous money changers scattered across Kuala Lumpur, but of course, rate varies greatly.

The best rate I come across so far is Money Changers concentrated around Sungai Wang Plaza and BB Plaza.

Both the banks and individual money changers DO NOT charge commission fee on CASH transactions and same as across Asia, USD has different exchange rate on $100, $50 and $20 and $10 or below.
