I just know how Chinese people celebrate Chinese New Year in New York City(nt the whole New York)!!!
They will have many events held in China Town. They will have many lion-dancing in China town. Many Chinese will flock to there to watch. And the week follows, there are also some events being held. E.g this yr, there is a Pig-running competition and a parade in China town.
Their customs are quite similar to thsoe of other Chinese in the world. Nothing very special.
