this is a question thats been bothering me for years! some say its 22 some say 6 or 16, most says its FISH! i have even heard a ridiculous rumor it is 4!!!! this is a very serious question so plz help me!!!

I learned once that you could solve hard problems using logarithms. I think it goes like this
2 + 2 = x
log(2) + log(2) =log(x) take the log of both sides
log(2) from a table is .3011
.3011 + .3011 = log x
.6022 = log x take the inverse log on both sides
10^.6022 = 10^logx
4.0012 = x
Therefore it equals 4.0012
By the way, if you are using a different base such as base 4, when you count the numbers go 01, 02, 03, 10, 11, 12, 13, 20, 21, etc.
If this is the base you are using 2 + 2 = 10
2 + 2 = x
log(2) + log(2) =log(x) take the log of both sides

.3011 + .3011 = log x
.6022 = log x take the inverse log on both sides

4.0012 = x
