Most of us have watched pizzas being made while waiting in a pizzeria.
1. What level of job specialization do you usually notice in these operations?
2. Why does this high or low level of specialization exist? If some pizzerias have different levels of specialization than others, identify the contingencies that might explain these differences.

I guess you could see what I see as well.
There are different people in different job position.
The dough roller, pizza flipper, someone who puts toppings on the pizza, someone who's responsible for the cashier.
Different job function serves different area - food catering, customer service, accounting...
Differences in these specializations may depend on how the business is run. Some have a philosophy of "customer-first", some strive to give the best quality of food. Franchisee have to follow the instructions of the franchiser to maximize profots; while independent owner may simply have a passion in serving the best pizza for the customer.
