x+3y-11=0

x=11-3y

substitute x=11-3y into 2x-y-1=0

2(11-3y)-y-1=0

22-6y-y-1=0

7y=21

y=3

put y=3 into x=11-3y

x=11-3y=11-3(3)=2

intersection = (2,3)

2)

x-2y-6=0

x=2y+6

substitute x=2y+6 into 4x-5y-12=0

4(2y+6)-5y-12=0

8y+24-5y-12=0

3y=-12

y=-4

put y=-4 into x=2y+6

x=2(-4)+6=-2

intersection = (-2,-4)

1) 2x - y - 1 = 0
y= 2x-1

Substitute x + 3 y -11 =0
x + 3 (2x -1) =11
7x = 14
x = 2
Then, y = 2 (2) -1 = 3

2) x - 2y - 6 = 0
x = 2y+6

Subsitute 4x - 5y - 12 = 0
4 (2y + 6) -5y - 12 = 0
8y + 24 -5y - 12 = 0
3y = -12
y = -4

x = 2 (-4) + 6 = -2
