UK-Bath! can someone tell me....

英囯最出名就係睇古代遺積, 如 castles, abbeys, churches 等等. 有部份係值得睇, 但好多都唔太值. 一來貴(百幾蚊港紙睇爛石...), 二來好多都己經破爛 (受時間曰月洗刷, 並非英国人唔識 protect 遺積). Roman Bath 我去過兩次, 都係出 society trip 包入場費, 否則真係唔會入去 (除非你鍾意考古/歷史/Roman Empire).

Roman Bath 入面有一D展品, 介紹當時居英羅馬人嘅生活, 有一D古羅馬硬幣, potteries, 藝術品等等 (得少少, 唔係 British Museum 咁). 而 museum 本身係建於個 Roman bath 上面 (即下面個 website 有彈綠色嘅水嘅o個張相...). 個 Bath 已經冇用, 所以唔好諗住可以去冲 spa 哈哈....

Bath 係一個好靚嘅地方, 唔入 Roman Bath 個 city 本身都有好多嘢睇如特色小商店.

而家唔知仲有冇, 但上次去嘅時候 Roman Bath 入面有得賣泉水俾你飲, 50p (~8HKD) 一杯, 見仁見智喇... :PJolly Meah the Sheep 講得啱, 如果你喜歡古代建築嘅話 Roman Bath 係唔錯. 但個人認為英国有其他類似嘅地方如 Oxford 同 Edinburgh 甚至 Bath 本身都有美麗建築而且隨處可見, 無需要付昂貴嘅入場費睇 Roman Bath... 除非你一定要指明係 Roman Bath 個種咁冇得好講哈哈...

I love going there, have been there may be 5 times in the last 15 years. They do add on different small exhibitions. I love taking my relatives / friends who come over to UK and see what a wonderful architecture the Roman built. If you love history and ancient civilisation, you should go.

I totally agree with the previous user Jolly Meah the Sheep, it is worth just to go there and experience the wonder of the anicent Roman civilisation. It is fasinating to see the sophistication of the Romans' water distribution system, the architecture started in the first century CE and used for four centuries.

Sorry, I just love Cultural historical heritage, my view may be a bit biased.

The Roman Bath is a must see historic architecture in UK. If you haven't been there at all, I dont see why you bother travel all the way to UK then...

For £10.25 (adult price) you will experience one of the ancient period Roman architecture in Britain. The use of technologies were the most innovative from the Roman designer and it was the most religious spa in UK as well.

Although you can't swim in the pool itself but you can use your hand to feel the temperature of the spa. In some areas of the bath, you may see the bubbles sparkling too!!!

I think you will easily spend 3 hours slowly walking around with your audioguide (comes as free when you enter the gate!) , listen to the stories behind this historic architecture and after that, you will appreciate the Roman have put lots of effort into this spa and works....until today and future...

You may have to appreciate the way on how they sculpture the stoneworks, how they cast and join together and many more amazing stories.

If you think about it, you spend $$$$ HKD travel from HK to UK, and why not treat yourself right???

Moreover, the Bath town centre offers comprehensive shops as well, numbers of street you can wonder around and dont forget, get onto the boat trip and look around the lovely river of Bath....

Oh, if you are willing to travel further, I would also recommend you to go to EDEN PROJECT. A massive indoor conservatories contained 1000s of different plants, and flowers around the world!!!

By the way, I did a history project with Roman Bath before during my Master in Architecture, I often visit some famous site / buildings across Europe.

Well... I have personally been to Roman Bath but was some years back already... And personally, unless you are actually staying in Bath or around that region, otherwise I wouldnt suggest you to travel there and visit the Roman Bath...
And to be honest, unless you are interested in European History or Roman Empire... Otherwise you will not really find the Roman Bath being interesting at all... On the other hand, if you are interested in history and Roman Empire, then maybe this is a place to have a look...
Roman Bath itself really is not very interesting... It is basically 1 of the few remaining Roman Bath around Europe... And that they still manage to keep everything inside as they are... So if you have seen many many photos of Roman Bath before, here you can see everything in real live...
