Apart from learning grammar, you can buy English DVDs. Choose one you like, watch it a few times with Chinese subtitles, then try changing it to English subtitles. Learn the dialogues.

well, i really depends on how fast u can learn something and ur age... becoz, the smaller u are, the easier to learn english... i think u should read more books... it doesn't have to be some hard and boring book, but u can start reading some easy and interesting book like Harry Potter... and when u wanna memorize english vocabs, it's better to memorize the english defintions becoz it helps ur 英文思維, so 英英字典 is definitely better than 英漢字典~ and if u wanna learn 俚語, try to watch some 英文 movies (or drama), and turn on the subtitle to help u... and soon, try to watch a whole movie w/o subtitle.... and grammar, u hv to do more grammar exercises... it will definitely helps!!!!!!
