Try going to Lake Soyang 昭陽湖 in Chun Cheon 春川. There is a Guseong waterfall 九聲瀑布 which is 7 m high and it is said to make nine sounds. Walk up the valley you will also see Cheongpyeongsa temple 淸平寺, in which there kept several national heritage of Korea e.g. the main entrance gate, the three storied pagoda and the tombstone of Lee Ja-Hyeon (Korean calligraphy) etc.

How to go:
Take a train from subway station 淸凉里 (line 1) to 春川南 (2 hours trip).
There are express buses going from Express Bus Terminal and East Intercity Bus Terminal, but it is more expensive and the time taken will be about the same.

Then take a local bus outside the train station to Lake Soyang. There is an information centre outside the train station and the bus stop is very near to that centre. Ask the staff for the number of the bus and they will show you the way. lt will take about 30 mins. Get off at the last stop. The bus runs every hour and if you miss it you have to wait for an hour. Therefore you have to find out the time schedule of the bus first when you get off the train.

Get off the bus and walk to the pier. Take a ferry to Cheongpyeongsa temple at the other side of the Lake. It will take 10 minutes.

After that, just follow the signs and walk uphill. It is very easy. It will only take you 45 mins to 1 hour to walk uphill (very gentle slope). lt will be a pleasure trip to relax and breathe fresh air.
