l suggest that you should stay in Hong Kong and start learning Korean first. At the same time save more money for continuing your Korean study in Korea.

This is because USD2,500 is not that much and it is only sufficient for you to pay for the school fee for studying Korean for 6 months only. Each language course will take 10 weeks (in 3months' time) and it costs about HK$10,000. But you have to pay for your accomodation, food and daily spending which is not cheap in Korea. Also, with that saving in your bank account, l dont think you can get a student visa from Korean Consulate. Therefore you have to save more money.

You have to attain at least level 4 Korean in order to be admitted to the University in Korea. If you are a student studying Korea language, it is illegal for you to work. Even if you want to work illegally, the employer wont employ any one who do not speak fluent or at least fair Korean. Therefore, even if you attain level 4 Korean but if you do not speak fair Korean, you may not get a job.

If you want to study performance arts, you may try Dong Kuk Univerisity but the competition is high. And for this subject, l think studying in Hong Kong is a better chioce than in Korea.

If you are determined to go, the first thing is to learn Korean and save more money. Then, when you go to Korea to continue your Korean study you may collect more information on the subject and University that you would like to study.
