metabolic energy in human only :
I think you mention about the energy used to support our daily lives called energy for basal metabolic rate. This is the energy used to support your life when you are at rest without doing exercise. This energy is used for heart pumping, respirating and heat generation becasue we are warm-blooded animals.

For human:chemical energy :If the energy we obtained from food causes the production of adenosine triphosphate, an energy storing compound, ATP, this is called a kind of chemical energy

For plants: The chemical energy is NADPH2 which is a co-factor produced in light reaction during photosynthesis. It will work with ATP a biological energy to convert CO2 into carbohydrate such as starch and sugar during carbon fixation in calvin circle.

For chemosynthetic plants: the chemical energy is ATP coming from the oxidation of ammonium compound and nitrate. The formed ATP can be used to make organic food by absorbing the CO2 from air.

兩者有何不同? This depends on which types of organisms you mention.
