簡介
 
香港鐵路博物館位於大埔墟市中心,面積6,500平方米,是在舊大埔火車站原址上改建而成的戶外博物館。舊火車站大樓建於1913年,是一座風格獨特的金字頂中國傳統建築。火車站於1984年被列為法定古蹟;經修復及重新佈置後,博物館於1985年開放予市民參觀。

Introduction

Hong Kong Railway Museum is located in the city centre of Tai Po Market. It is an outdoor museum reconstructed at the original location of the previous Tai Po KCR station, with a total area of 6500 square metre. The KCR station has been listed as a statutory place of historic interest in 1984. After renovation and re-decoration, the museum has become a public facility for visiting since 1985.

You can get there by KCR to Tai Po Market station, then transfer by 25K green mini-bus; or by KMB route 72, 72X, 73X, 74X, 75X, or 271

Hours of Operation

9am - 5pm on Mon, Wed-Sun(including public holiday)
Close on Tue, Christmas, Boxing day, New Year's Eve, and the first three days of Lunar Chinese New Year
