美國環保署(USEPA)已承諾要全心投入全球管理計畫，以降低環境中毒性物質-全氟辛酸銨(PFOA)，8家公司已答應自願減少PFOA排放量，以及在2015年前減少95%產品中PFOA含量。另外，USEPA也要求這些公司提供在2000年時PFOA相關基線排放量數據，並依毒性物質排放申報清冊(TRI)來監測此全球管理計畫的成效。
