let r be the radius of the front wheel,(r+5) be the radius of the rear wheelthe ratio of the circumference of the wheels
=2pi r:2pi r+5
=r:r+5

let the diameter of the front wheel be d; then the diameter of the rear wheel is d+5.
the circumference of front wheel is d (pi), & the circumference of rear wheel is (d+5) (pi)
d (pi) : (d+5) (pi)
= d: (d+5)
