How difficult is it to resist not answering a dumb question?

I've seen a few exceptionally ridiculous questions asked over and over and over,... well you know, by different people.

What don't folks look at the bottom of "1.Enter your question" where it says ** We have found similar questions ** before posting their question?

There are some folks who are more than a little tweaked-off that some of us are exploiting dumb questions just to get easy points.

Uh - HELLO?
There is a lot of competition to get that best answer. There are a lot of good responses to some of those "Dumb questions".

Sometimes I can't help myself, when I see one that I can just let go and try to see if I can be clever. Not to be a smart-@$$,....
But there will always be a question that some fooo'l will post. To see what kind of Answers they will get.

So,... whats your excuse?

Well, it's actually quite natural to answer dumb questions and to ask questions that have already been asked.

1. Two points!

2. When faced with a good question, you'd feel responsible to give a good answer. When faced with a dumb question, you can get away by giving a dumb answer and feel no guilt.

3. As for the similar question thing, it's easier to answer a question that has already been asked and answered. If anything, you can simply copy and paste someone else's answer, and get credit for it in the form of... 2, possibly 10 points!!

4. And, one of the reason why people ask questions that have already been asked is... people want attention. It feels nice to have people reply to YOUR question. It gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling to see that people are trying to help YOU, and not leaving you to read answers to SOMEONE ELSE'S questions.

It's all about human nature, old girl. Laziness, opportuneness, cheating, and attention-seeking are all second nature to the average human. (Including myself, of course.)

I usually just answer them by saying( 2 points), that's if it's a really dumb question. Because that's all some questions deserve. Since all I am after is the 2 points sometimes.
