For playing games, display card and Ram are the most important, so I used 2GB Ram and 8800GTX~they should be enough, don't look for 8800GTX SLI, there won't be any big difference.
After that the speed of the Harddisk is also important, the three 10K rpm harddisk run with raid 5 work as a raptor and the 320GB is the main storage.
When you play games open a big map, you will know why I recommand like this.
The sound quality is also important, when you play game or watch DVD with high quality, but the sound is in bad quality or even lag(the problem of onboard sound). You will not enjoy very much, so a good quality speaker and a high-end gaming sound card is used here.
