pick up的用法

pick up可以解作載客嗎??
我有日行經油麻地
見到有個路牌上面寫著"pick up & drop off"
查字典drop off 即係下車
但pick up 查唔到有上車的意「是」wow~

小DD英文唔好
所以想問問一些英文達人
pick up可以解作載客嗎??

pick up 有以下17個解釋, 第4個就係載客咁解。

1. Lift, take up by hand, as in Please pick up that book from the floor. [Early 1300s]
