Let the cost of the motorcycle be $y
y(1-12%)=31680
y=31680/88%
y=36000
Therefore the cost of the motorcycle is $36000.
If it is sold at $29520,the new lost percentage:
(31680-29520)/31680x100%=216/3168=900/132 %=6又9/11%

Sorry, If it is sold at $29520,the new lost percentage:(36000-29520)/36000x100%=18%

Answer : 18%

y x 88 / 100 = 31680
y = 31680 x 100 / 88
y = 36000

So the original price of motorcycle is $36,000

New Loss percent : 36000 - 29520 / 36000 = 18%

Original Price = 31680 /(1-12%=88%) = 36000
%Loss = 36000 - 29520 / 36000 *100% = 18%
