1) Ladies' Market

Don't be deceived by the name. Ladies' Market has something for everyone with bargain-priced items, including men's and women's clothing, knick-knacks, watches and beauty products. Beside the street stalls are Hong Kong-style cafes that offer local favourites. Open noon - 11:30pm daily.

2) Hong Kong Disneyland

Hong Kong Disneyland invites visitors into the legendary fairytale kingdom that celebrates the spirit of fantasy, the world of tomorrow and a forever-young sense of adventure. Mickey Mouse will welcome you to the happiest place on Earth complete with attractions exclusively designed for Hong Kong.

Families visiting the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort will have magical journeys through four themed lands, namely Main Street U.S.A., Fantasyland, Adventureland and Tomorrowland, plus two Disney-style hotels. Hong Kong Disneyland will offer a diverse range of food at various restaurants in the park. In addition there are specialty stores selling Disney memorabilia and souvenirs in each themed land and at the two hotels.

3) Ocean Park

Opened in 1977, Ocean Park is one of Hong Kong's perennially popular attractions, providing an exciting mix of entertainment, education and conservation facilities. The 80-hectare (200-acre) park, situated on the southern side of Hong Kong Island, features rides, exhibits and facilities around a hillside. A cable car system links the lowland and headland sections, offering spectacular views en route.

New and fun-filled entertainment facilities are introduced from time to time and a major refurbishment is underway. The latest attraction is Southeast Asia's first see jelly aquarium, featuring the most amazing selection of beautiful jellyfish from all over the world. Other popular additions have been the Abyss Turbo Drop, the Mine Train, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Giant Panda Habitat, Amazing Amazon, the Flying Swing and the Film Fantasia Simulator Ride.

Ocean Park works to promote and support animal conservation in Hong Kong and throughout the Asia region. It has, in co-operation with other conservation organisations, launched various conservation programmes for a number of endangered species, including whales and dolphins. In addition, it has successfully bred rare species of birds, sharks and butterflies.

4) Repulse Bay

Primarily an upmarket residential area, sun-drenched Repulse Bay has a relaxed resort-like atmosphere. The wide, wave-lapped beach is popular with locals and visitors alike and great for sandy strolls in the early morning when the sun is up and the sunbathers are out in force, or at sunset when all is at peace.

This crescent-shaped stretch of sand is one of the most beautiful beaches in Hong Kong. The beach features a lifeguard clubhouse built in traditional Chinese style. Its ceiling is decorated with magnificent swirling dragons. Towering twin statues of Kwun Yum and Tin Hau, both protectors of fishermen dominate the picturesque gardens that lead down to the beach.

The nearby colonial-style, The Repulse Bay, houses designer shops and award-winning restaurants and resembles the luxury hotel that
originally occupied the site. That hotel was built in 1920 and ewdeveloped into luxurious residences. Only the original arcade remains. This is the ideal place for a romantic dinner under the stars. For something more down-to-earth, several open-air restaurants nearby specialise in wholesome barbecued food, including the freshest prawns, squid and fish. All are cheery hives of activity every night of the week.
