CFP is rely on financial planning, like u wanna know how to get your better life after retirement, how to manage your wealth to get your target planning for wedding, buying a car, buying a flat or further stuying as well as planning for your babies education etc...

CFA is a financial analyist, who need to know how the situation around the world, keeping senstivity to the information about economics, and having a financial knowledge about mathematics calculation, sometimes, they need to provide an advice about the equity analysis.....

if you prefer more interesting in calculation and economics, the CFA should more suitable to u for studying. if you wanna know how to manage your wealth better, then i think CFP is enough for u. (FINANCIAL PLANNING is a fast growing in HK and China, so according to the market share, CFP should be more good prospects)

For my opinion, u can buy a book about financial planning so as to know weather u are interest in it or not first.
