A metal cube with sides of 10 cm each is melted and recast as 20 cylinders with the base radius of 1 cm . Find the height of the cylinder.

firstly calculate the volume of the meal block :(10 × 10 × 10)cm^3
=1000cm^3
then calculate the height of the cylinder :
[1000 ÷ (20 × 1 × 1 × π)]cm
=[1000 ÷ 20π]cm
=15.9cm (3 sig.fig.)

The volume of the metal cube:
=(10x10x10) cm3
=1000cm3
The volume of a cylinder
=1000cm3/20
=50cm3
Let the height of the cylinder be h cm
π(1)^2 x h= 50cm3
h=15.91549431
=(10x10x10) cm3
=1000cm3
The volume of a cylinder
=1000cm3/20
=50cm3
Let the height of the cylinder be h cm
π(1)^2 x h= 50cm3

the volume of cube = 10 ^ 3 = 1000
the volume of one cylinder = 1000/20 = 50
let x be the height of the cylinder
圓周率 * ( 1 ^ 2 ) * x = 50
x = 50 / 圓周率
therefore , the height of one cylinder = 50 / 圓周率
