I want to make the French salad dressing by my own,
however, I can't find the most suitable recipe !
I need to make a "salty" salad dressing,
what ingredients do I need?
Should I use vinegar or olive oil?
I just want to make a simple but delicious salad.

Please give me a good recipe,
thanks a lot !

Western salad dressing always contains oil and vinegar. More oil than vinegar. Salt and black pepper is a must as well.

I am not sure how French salad dressing tastes any more. I usually make my own salad dressing. I love to use good grade Extra Virgin Olive Oil that has nutty flavour. I'd use balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar depending on what flavour I want to achieve. Balsamic vinegar tastes very much like 鎮"gong ze cho" (sorry i cant type chinese). There is no hard and fast rule of salad dressing. Add anything you like that brings out the flavour of the vegetables. You can put Dijon mustard - French mustard to make it more French.

150ml French Dressing
35ml Balsamic Vinegar/Red Wine Vinegar
15g Dijon Mustard
100ml Olive Oil
trace Salt and Pepper

1. Whisk together the mustard, vinegar, salt and pepper
2. Slowly add the oil, whisking continuously to form an emulsion.
3. Taste! If necessary adjust by adding more oil and vinegar.
