why u need to know so much data ??
and they can be very irrelevant to your racket too.
the current machines are much more powerful, string much higher tension, with the same tension setting.
the rackets in the old days were smaller and are very differernt to our current models. If u want to find out the best for your model, u need to specify the racket and the string. Spending $$$ to find out is the sure way, unfortunately.
In the old days, i didn't have to specify the tension, the pro shop just decide it for you, but it worked well. Today, the strings are not as durable as before ! and the pro shops give terrible advice on tension sometimes.
Old McEnroe used Dunlop Wood Maxply (i have 2 of them) and then Volkl, now back to Dunlop.
the strings on my wood rackets, are still lively after sitting there for 20 years. Believe it or not, i did not spend much on string in the good old days !
