are rebates a scam? has anyone recieved a rebate?tmobilscam?

When I bought a phone from tmobile that was promised to have a rebate, I didn't get the rebate. I went back to the tmobile store where I bought the phone a few times complaining, and finally I got it.

every rebate i sent in i either got money back or a letter stating that something was missing (verizon) when i sent it in. I just lost $50 and cant even fight it.

A rebate from a trusted company isnt a scam. But it might take a while, 6-8 weeks anyone? And you have to follow the requirements specificically or else you're screwed. Lost $20 bucks the other day because I "apparently" didnt postmark it on time even though I remember specifically going on the last day 3 hours before closing to put it in.

Some are and some aren't..
I received all my rebates from the PC stuff that I purchased.
