其实英语这东西靠的是语感，就像中文，说多了，就不必太讲究主、谓、宾、定、状、补。背英语课文一方面是增加词汇量和一些句子的基本结构，供重要的是培养语感。英语不难，学得好的人不见得是天天死记硬背的，使学一种感觉！

I think it helps you internalise some grammatical structures and important phrases and sentences. Then, you can use them in oral and writing.
