flood in indonesia

As its geograhical features, 17508 islands bath in sea, equator's hot and deforestation, Indonesia is tropical hot, humid but more moderate in highlands. Thus, the oceanic climate causes the high rain fall rate.
Heavy rain fall leads to the easy of flooding, but the main cause is the deforestation and lack of government controll.
To prevent? I think not much chances to improve as the gov is so weak and confusing. In the near future, 10 to 30 years, there won't be any change or perhaps even worst.
