VERB問題

第一條，應係
I think playing football is better than playing basketball.
then,
I like reading books.
playing football 同 play football 有咩唔同?
playing 係continuous tense進行式，另外仲係gerund**.
而play football係現在式
**gerund一般用係當兩個動詞一齊時，後者要ing form
例: I go swimming.
go 同swim都係動詞，後者用作ing form.
但有些字就後係唔洗ing form, 如let, make....
I let him go. let係動詞，但go不用ing form.
如叫人填suggestion form
1.playing football
2.reading books
點解唔可以
play football 同 read books??
因為playing, reading 係用左gerund.佢地放係phrase 前面，要ing form。另外，佢這時係用左動名詞身分。
如: Playing football is his hobby.
這時is 方才是動詞，playing football只係名詞。

致上面的回答者:不一定兩個動詞在一個句子中是錯的。如 I like running.like 和 running都是動詞但這句句子是對的。

雖然I like running中係like 方是動詞但running 都係動名詞!!

1) The 1st one is correct, as playing is used in the front part of the sentence, so the second part must be in ing-form too.

2) The 1st one is correct, "like" should be followed by ing-form of to-infinative, so you can also say"I like to read books."

3) verbs without ing is an action, but verbs with ing is a noun, is an activity(in your example). When you are filling forms, it's better for you to use noun than verb.

3) If you are saying what activities you like, you should use a noun. But if it asks you what you like to do, you can use verb.

playing football 係指踢足球呢個活動，係noun（名詞），當佢一個活動咁睇
