confidence 是信心
esteem 是尊敬, 尊重

Do you have confidence in me? 你对我有信心吗?
Do you have self esteem? 你有自尊心吗?

CONFIDENCE是信心;但ESTEEM是专重.

1.刘翔对自己有绝对的信信可以在2008北京奥运会拿到辉煌的成绩.

2.互相专重是夫妻最重要的相处之道.(MUTUAL ESTEEM)
