In tradition, chinese people believed that only women can participate in dancing. They believed that dancing was a performance to men. In fact, lots of female engaged in dancing to ensure the chance of getting married with a rich man; some female viewed dancing as a profession, but humble. French people in the old time didn't allow male to participate in dancing. They viewed dancing as a feminine task, whereas male engagement in dance was considered as homosexual activity. Homosexuality was not accepted in both China and France. Homosexualists were often discriminated. Nowadays, gays and lesbians are more acceptable in society.

In term of personality, Chinese people are more conservative. They are unlikely to change their points of view. I believe that chinese males are responsible, based on the fact that many of them have the ability to take care of their family. In contrast, French are more freedom oriented; thus making them indifferent. On top of their personality, they are however polite and time-oriented. France is a country values on self-cultivation. The country is more likely to adopt changes.

1, Dancing, in old Chinese society, is only for female and it was used to pleasant men. Some women dance for marrying a rich man while some dance for money in the lower society level. It is similar in the old French society. Dancing is not for men. If a man dance, he will be considered as gay. In addition, homosexual was not accepted by either the Chinese or the French. Gay guy or Lesbian were used to be discriminated. But nowadays they are more likely to be acceptable.

2, In personality, Chinese tends to be conservative and not willing to create. Nevertheless, I think Chinese men have a strong sense of responsibility as they put their family on top of everything. On the other hand, French people need personal space so much that sometimes they seem to be too cool. But still, I appreciate their politeness and time sense. France is a well taught and creative nation.

Homosexuals were being discriminated against, it is only until now are homosexuals are more accepted in France.

2. Talking about personalities, Chinese people are more conservative. They do not want to renovate and try new things. On the other hand, I think that Chinese boys have a very strong sense of responsibility, as they need to support and take care of the whole family. Whereas in France, they think independently, therefore sometimes they seemed more distant. They are very polite and have a strong sense of time. They come from a coutry where manners are strictly followed and new ideas are more accepted.

2. About their characteristic, Chinese are more traditional and not welling to learn new things. I personally think that Chinese men are really responsible, because they will take care of their family. Comparing to the Chinese, the French are more about their freedom, so that's why they give people a feeling of coldness, but they are really polite and really good at timing, they also really care about the enviroment that they were grown up in, and are willing to change.
