Thre are 17 species of penguins, each of them comes with different estimated population:

Adelie - 2.5 million pairs
African - 180,000 pairs
Chinstrap - 7 million pairs
Emperor - 200,000 pairs
Erect-Crested - 165,000 pairs
Fairy - 500,000 pairs
Fjordland crested - 2,500 pairs
Galapagos - 1000 pairs
Gentoo - 300,000 pairs
Humboldt - 6,000 pairs
King - 2 million pairs
Macaroni - 12 million pairs
Magellanic - 700,000 pairs
Rockhopper - 4 million pairs
