第一樣要注意既我覺得係currency, 向香港換左美金先黎會好d, 呢度唔係度度有得換

如果係跟團的話冇咩要注意, 唯一要注意既係天氣

三藩市一年四季都比較涼, 而且濕, 到海邊(like golden gate bridge and fisherman's wharf)一定會好大風, on average都係十幾度咁樣

洛杉磯天氣比三藩市暖一些, 但轉得好快, 早幾日仲係十幾度, 今日三十幾, 睇forecast話聽日會落返二十度, 而且humidity經常好低, like 10% 15%, 所以一定要攞lotion, 唔係會好唔慣

拉斯維加斯氣溫同LA差唔多,一樣咁乾

加州既雨季係11月至3月, 所以你黎既時候都有機會落雨

so clothing 方面我suggest輕便既面衫加一件waterproof既褸 (in case落雨的話)
sweater戈d其實可以唔洗, 因為入到indoor都會有heater, 著sweater反而會好熱
要攞scarf, 因為大風, 冷帽戈d可以唔洗



另外值得一提既係黎到美國去到邊都要比tips
如果你唔係跟團的話
出機場撘shuttle/ cab要比tips - 大約係10-15% of the fare, 美國人慣左比大約20%, 但10%is acceptable but thats the minimum
到hotel bell boy要比tips (其實除非係大酒店, 如果唔係都唔會有bell boy) 如果一件細行理就$1, 大少少既就$2,一件件咁計 (佢冇話你一定要比, 但係its a known fact)
出街食飯要比 - 除左食fast food好似McDonald戈d self serve之外, 總之有人serve你既就要比tips, 10-15% ok, 高級餐廳要比20% (McDonald戈d fast food通常向收銀機隔離都有個細桶仔叫你比tips, 戈d可以唔洗比)
酒店(大又好細又好)要比room maid - 總之有人同你clean up the room你每日都要放$1 or $2 on the pillow for the room maid (呢個聽講唔比都OK, 我自己就冇比過, 但身邊既朋友都有比)
in case你要到grocery store do shopping又有人help out 既話, 都要比tips, 聽人講都好似係一袋袋咁計, $1一袋, 當然, 我就從來冇要過help out

但撘巴士戈d 係有exact fare既就唔洗


另外要留意既係美國度度都要比稅
加州sales tax係8.25%, 所以買野通常check out既amount都會唔同, 關於退稅方面我就唔係太清楚, 最好去機場問下


如果你唔係跟團的話
another tips就係由機場走戈時唔好call cab, 美國撘的士係一件你唔想試既野, 大機場如SF and LA都會有shuttle, 係一架van仔咁大約一車坐7個人, 一個個人計錢, 同埋睇下你destination去邊, 大約$20 for first person and $9 each addition person

機場一定會有指示去shuttle stop


三藩市自由行的話, 我會suggest買3 day muni pass, $18 include unlimited ride on muni bus, cable car and BART (MTR)
因為坐cable car一程都$5, 所以呢個pass好低, 仲可以揀7 days pass, 但我唔太清楚幾多錢

LA的話就淨係得day pass買, $3 一日, 但如果有international driver's license的話我suggest租車, LA既巴士都幾雜下, 其中一間租車公司可以去呢度睇 www.hertz.com


如果跟團的話, 夜晚可能會自己出黎行下
我會suggest 三藩市唔係太夜, 即係好似9點幾10點都可以坐巴士出去行下
LA就唔好出去, 就算出到去都冇野行
Vegas就of course 24小時都可以出去啦, 如果一路留向strip應該唔會有咩問題
24小時都會咁多人
向vegas坐cab就OK, 因為路程應該唔係太遠(都係go around the strip), 四五個人一齊share唔會好貴, 但d drivers講既英文通常都唔太好, 所以如果講唔掂的話最好寫低你想去邊, 佢地會知道

另外諗起using credit 戈度美國差不多大部份地方都會accept visa and master card, 我經常買$1野都會用,用既時候唔睇signature, 淨係睇photo id, 所以要袋住passport我亦試過用香港既credit card, 我戈間銀行既rate計返出黎其實差唔多, 所以比較方便(concern your bank about the rate)個身唔好袋咁多cash, $100點都夠哂, 酒店有locker既放locker, 袋咁多cash唔太安全

THIEVES EVERYWHERE. SAN FRANCISCO IS QUITE SAFE IF U WATCH YOUR BELONGINGS, AND STAY AWAY FROM MISSION AND SOUTH OF MARKET AS THESE TWO ARE SLEAZY PART OF TOWN. SINCE U ARE TOURIST I DON'T THINK U WILL GO TO THIRD STREET AREA. JUST STAY IN THE WHITE AREA AND U WILL
BE FINE. THE BEST WAY TO TRAVEL GO TO VEGAS FIRST THAN LA LAST STOP
SAN FRANCISCO. THE CITY IS VERY HOT IN THE AFTERNOON AND COOL IN THE
EVENING WE NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT A SWEATER.

HAVE A NICE TIME VISITING OUR HOME TOWN

I live in San Francisco area. Since my computer at work does not have Chinese, I will write in English. Like all the big cities, you have to be careful on your belongs. Safety is the most important thing, therefore it really depends which part of the city that you are planning to visit. In San Francisco, Tenderloin district (next to downtown), Bayside or South of Market are the zone that you want to avoid or don't go by yourself alone.

Are you travel by yourself or joining a tour?

One quick rule of thumb in US is not to go something start with East... (e.g. East Palo Alto, East Los Angeles..... no good..)

For Las Vegas, it is pretty safe if you stay in the strip area. You can take the bus along the strip, since traffic is so busy over there. Doesn't make sense to take the taxi...

For Los Angeles, there is no way for you to travel around without a car. Be prepare to take longer time since traffic congestion is everywhere..
