Apart from normal salts and acid salts, there are also basic salts (but seldom use the term alkali salts).
A basic salt(鹼式鹽 / 鹽基式鹽)is a compound that is a base and a salt. The compound can be formed by incomplete neutralization of a base or an alkali. For example, copper(II) carbonate hydroxide, Cu2(OH)2CO3, is a basic salt.

The solution of a salt may be neutral, acidic or alkaline. However, this is NOT the case of normal salt (e.g.Na2CO3), acid salt (e.g. NaHCO3), or basic salt (e.g Pb(OH)2CO3).
