DIY 有線寛頻搬位

I did the same (將有線modem搬入書房) as yours before and it worked fine. Likely your TV cable between living room and 書房 is very bad and is causing great signal lost.

If you have checked the cable and found nothing unusual, you may consider using a pair of power plugs:

They are really just plug-and-play. Virturally no installation. They cost high (HK$680 a pair). But it save the ugly cables and hassles, and they can be reused even if you move home.

C How

其實TV線係行analogur來轉送資料，比較容易受其他東西干擾，用LAN線延長比較好一點，因為其轉送資料是用Digital，干擾比較小，只要保持LAN線在100米就可以．用家用電網來轉送資料係可以，不過會被電的磁場干擾，轉送資料會慢一點點（相比用純LAN線），　同埋轉送和接收位置要用個純1３A頭(不可接駁在分蘇)，仲有買一組電網LAN裝置都要幾舊水，唔係o甘花算．
其實現在很多新樓，電話盒內的線已經用灑CAT5線(8芯LAN線)，你可以Check 一下有無spare線組(通常都有)，如果係，你可以利用它，因為我唔知你往的地點係唔係用LAN線來做電話線，不過都可給你try 一try．
有線寛頻機＞有線寛頻router(TV線轉LAN線盒)＞LAN 線＞廳的電話盒spare線組(要找返你書房的一組線加一個LAN接頭)＞書房電話盒頭spare線組(要找從你的廳加接頭的一組線加一個LAN接頭)＞LAN線到你的電腦．
需然有D困難，但係全部才料都唔洗一舊水，又唔唔洗拉很多明線，我覺得比較好．
