  在香港的食物中,我最喜歡吃蛋撻。假日我和家人一齊去泰昌餅家吃蛋撻!

  泰昌餅家位於香港中環擺花街蘇豪區內,是一家傳統餅店,以蛋撻馳名。泰昌餅家於1954年開業,泰昌餅家最馳名的食品包括蛋撻、沙翁與菠蘿包等,全部以傳統方法人手製造。

  蛋撻即以蛋漿為餡料,做法是把餅皮放進小圓盆狀的餅模中,倒入由砂糖及雞蛋混合而成之蛋漿,然後放入烤爐;烤出的蛋撻外層為鬆脆之撻皮,內層則為香甜的黃色凝固蛋漿。

  香港地道的蛋撻以撻皮分類,主要分為牛油蛋撻和酥皮蛋撻兩種。而我喜歡吃牛油蛋撻。牛油蛋撻的撻皮比較光滑和完整,好像一塊盆狀的餅乾,有一陣牛油香味,十分好吃!有空一起嚐嚐吧,我想您也會喜歡的。

Among all the different kinds of food in Hong Kong, egg tart is my favourite. Every weekend or holiday, my family and I have to have egg tarts at Tai Cheung Bakery Shop!

Tai Cheung Bakery Shop is located at the Soho area of Lyndhurst Terrace, Central, Hong Kong. Tai Cheung is a traditional bakery shop and the most famous food there is their egg tarts. Tai Cheung Bakery Shop was established in 1954, the famous items from them are egg tarts, chinese doughnuts, and pineapple buns, etc. They are all made by hands with traditional methods.

Egg tarts are made with egg batter. First the crust is prepared in a small round mold, then you pour in the egg batter made with sugar and eggs into the crust, and then bake in the oven. The baked egg tarts have crunchy crust on the outside, and sweet and golden egg batter solidified inside the crust.

The authentic egg tarts in Hong Kong are catagorized by the ingredients in the crust of the egg tarts. There are two major types: the buttery egg tarts and the pastry egg tarts. I love the buttery egg tarts because the crust is smoother and cleaner, it's just like a piece of biscuit. Also, the buttery crust has a strong buttery taste and it's very delicious!
