since i tried vista RC1 before, i found that my computer running so slow. And in my point of view, vista need Dual 2 Core (1.66GHz) and 1 G RAM in order to run smoothly. and many software are not compatiible with vista yet, check all your current program and see is it got enough support to handle vista!
