The ratio of the weights of tin and zinc in a 112kg alloy is 5:2.
Find the weight of tin in the alloy .

Other Problem ,
It is given that a:b = 2:3
and b:c = 4:5
Find the ratio a:b:c

First question:

The weight of tin in the alloy

112 x 5 / (5+2)

= 112 x 5/7

= 80kg

Second question:

a : b = 2 : 3 = 2*4:3*4 = 8 : 12
b : c = 4 : 5 = 4*3 : 5*3 = 12 : 15

(Therefore) a : b : c = 8 : 12 : 15

1.The weight of tin in the alloy : 112KgX5/(5+2)=80Kg

2.Since a:b=2:3=8:12andb:c= 4:5=12:15
so a:b:c=8:12:15
