This is about one of the TAS experiment---
Determination of the Activation Energy of the Reaction between Bromide and Bromate(V)ion in Acidic solution

Q.1 the equation for the reaction between bromide and bromate(V)ion in acidic solution?
Q.2 Is it advisable to carry out the experiment at high temperature such as 80degree Celsus? why?
Q.3 State three major error sources in this experiment.
Q.4 how is the reaction rate affected by increase in temperature? Explain.

activation of bromide ion and bromate(V)

The equation for the reaction phenol and bromine
C6H5OH(aq) + Br2(aq) ----> C6H2Br3OH(aq) + 3HBr(aq)
2,4,6-tribromophenol

If your experiment is activation of the reaction between bromide and bromate ions in acid solution, then Meythl Red solution is used as an indicator in this experiment. The bromine produced during the reaction reacts very rapidly with phenol (forming tribromophenol). Once all of the phenol is consumed, any further bromine bleaches the meythl red indicator immediately, which means the excess free Br2 will bleach the methyl red to give a colourless solution. so if you run your activation in different temperature, the time for the reaction to proceed to a given point can be determined (since the meythl red will give a colourless solution).
