x*(1+1%)^9=32811
x*1.0937=32811
x=32811/1.0937
x=$30000
2. interest rate = 6% p.a. =6%/4=1.5% per quarter of year
3.5 year= 14 quarters of year
let x been the amount she borrow
[x*(1+1.5%)^14]-x=1970
1.2318x-x=1970
0.2318x=1970
