No minor sickness could be very normal. Don't worry!
Of course some women have lots of minor problems like nausea and vomiting, but there are many many others who are very OK (like me). I have three children, only the first one felt hungry every one to two hours (at the beginning).
If your pregnancy test was positive on 23/1, by the time you go to see doctor, the fetus could be only 6-7 weeks. It may still be difficult to see it in the ultrasound exam. According to my knowledge, it is easier to see it if > 7-8 weeks. And doctor usually measure the crown-rump length at 10 weeks onward to decide the expected date of delivery. In case you cannot see the fetus on ultrasound exam next week, it does not mean anything goes wrong, but you should repeat the exam two weeks later. Also need to consider your menstrual history. If you have long cycle, the size may be even smaller.
I know many people who had abortion at the first pregnancy but the next time is fine.
Good luck and don't worry!
