如何向小朋友解釋以下2組英文字的分別

1) 『TALK』、『SPEAK』?

首先，我想指出上面答案的一些謬誤。

talk 和 speak 的分別不在於第一第三者，也未必在於長短。


(speak 可以好長）

Warhol professed to prefer talkers to beauties; he spoke for hours on the telephone, often with Brigid Berlin, one of his 'lifers' who taped him taping her.

talk 和 speak 當然和說話有關，個最大分別是對象。speak 這字本身必涉及對象 ，中文解釋是 說 。 個注意力是在那人的說話方式，語言方面，注意力是在說的人身上. talk 是描述那人在對人談話，一定是有對象，除非他是自言自語 （talked to himself) 中文解釋是 談話.

有個難題了，如果用 SPEAK TO 和 TALK TO，都是指跟人談話，但會有些分別。如果用 SPEAK，對象是較陌生，談的不夠深入。但用 TALK，說的可以是閒談，也可是深入的討論，私人事情，難題要解決。

在 PARTY 和名人傾的當然不會太多太久太深入。

愈去研究，愈發現有更多重疊的地方，不過用慣便會知道那些事候用那個和分別。



2) 『SEE』、 『LOOK』、『WATCH』？

『SEE』和『LOOK』分別不在於第一第三者。任何人都可 SEE 或 LOOK。

分別是 SEE 是無意識無目的 地見到，但 LOOK 便是有心 去看。

I didn't want to look, but I saw a book titled "The big book of knitting" by Katharina Buss. It couldn't hurt to look...could it?

上面便是講那個人見到本書但不想去看，因為不想花錢。

『LOOK』和『WATCH』有甚麼分別？

兩個都是有心去看，但花的時間差好遠。LOOK 多是指較短時間，除非你說 LOOKED FOR HOURS。WATCH 多指較長時間，除非你說 WATCHED FOR A MINUTE。另一個更重要分別是個深度。 LOOK 是指看，望，但 WATCH 是欣賞，觀察。還有， LOOK 要加 AT，WATCH 不一定要。

這個 LOOK 當然是很快地過去，很詫異望住他。

LOOK 好多時是指望住人塊面，而 WATCH 則多指離遠觀察人，和那人一段距離，不是面對面，不是望住那人塊面。

上面指觀察。如果用 We looked at him as he headed for home. 便不恰當，因沒有觀察的意思，且時間較短， 除非講明時間很長。

找不到和您的查詢-"We looked at him as he headed for home."-相符的資料

還有，最常見例子是 MOVIE。我地不會說 LOOK AT A MOVIE，會說 WATCH A MOVIE。因 LOOK 不及 WATCH 長時間，也沒有 WATCH 欣賞的意思。剛又想起一個大難題： SEE A MOVIE。幸好，字典也有指出此點，這個用法則 SEE 和 WATCH 都可以用。

7. 注意;務必使...,保證[W][Y][+(that)]

『TALK』、『SPEAK』都有說話的意思,是用囗的
而『SEE』、 『LOOK』、『WATCH』就有看東西的意思是用眼的
這兩組雖然都是動詞,但就不同意思。

talk - 第三者在說話,而且是一些長d既野,例如一個故事,自己今日遇見的事情,要描述的
speak - 第一身在講,而且多數是1-2句簡短的說話!

see - 第一身,自己見到的東西!
look - 第三者見到的東西!
呢兩個意思其實一樣

watch - 好專心,專注地去看一件事情,或東西~
watch係要用心去睇先叫watch!
