First, remember this is a pen stand, it means there is only one base.
So the base area is:
395 - 5 x 11 x 6 = 65

For any prism volume/capicity = base area x height
The capacity of the stand is:
65 x 11 = 715cm(cube)

In addition, give you one more formula.
For any cone/pyrimid volume/capicity = 1/3 x base area x height

Hope the above info may help you.

The base area of the pen stand is
(395 - 5 x 6 x 11 ) ÷ 2
=32.5

∴The capacity is
32.5 x 11
=357.5 cm3

[ 395 - (5 x 11) x 6 ] x 11 = 715
