In Physics, heat is the energy transferred from one object to another as a result of temperature difference. It only appears in the "process", it can't be store. (Only internal energy can be stored)
In general meanings, heat means "to increase sth's temperature"(v) , "irritate sb"(v) or "a high temperature"(n).
