Oh, there are so many! The Versailles Treaty, which shakled Germany with prohibitive war repariations, the Great Depression (probably the biggest factor because American banks called in German debts to cover their own, and forced the German economy to go bust -- a situation that lead directly to the rise of the Nazi party), German militarism (specifically the invasion of Poland in 1939 which started all the European dominoes falling into another world war just like the assassination of Crown Prince Fredrick Ferdinand brought on the first one), and on the Pacific front, Japanese militarism and expansionism. All of which culminated in Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941. Germany, allied with Japan, and pissed off over U.S. support for England, particularly the "Lend Lease Program" (whereby military equipment was loaned or leased to England, to avoid the fact that they couldn't possibly pay for it), declared war a few days later, and the rest, as they say, is history.

World War Two began in September 1939 when Britain and France declared war on Germany following Germany's invasion of Poland.

Although the outbreak of war was triggered by Germany's invasion of Poland, the causes of the war are more complex.

The fact that Germany was in debt and deep in problem was the cause of the war. As the chain reaction to the lost of the WW1, Germany was greatly weakened. The citizens were angry, and that was when Hitler appeared. He used the mind of the angry citizens to gain power, than finally, started to attack other countries for land and money. Italy soon joined him (Mosolini) and while those two countries faught in Europe, Japan conquered Asia.

Well, if you are asking why Hitler wanted to take over the world, in a nutshell: it is in part due to huge (unreasonable) reparation payments imposed on Germany after WW1 which plunged the country into a huge depression (which also helped build support for Hitler from the citizens, because he promised a better economy which he did actually deliver) and because of a personal vendetta because he couldn't handle being defeated in WW1 (Hitler himself served in the army during the first world war).

World War I and the Treaty of Versaille and the humiliation of Germany. Germany's desire for liebensraum, or living space for the Third Reich. Japan's lust for Pacific Rim power and the fight for resources, specifically oil and rubber. Colonial polices of the European powers and the awakening of indigenous nationalist groups. And finally, too many men on the planet. And finally, just pure hate.

The Treaty of Versailles ordered Germany to pay millions after all the damage they caused during WWI, it devestated the country and Germany was angry about it. They looked for a new leader and Hitler promised that he would restore Germany to it's former glory. Invading Poland was one of the biggest reasons WWII started. Poland promised to Give Hitler access to East Prussia but Poland broke the agreement. He wanted more land to show that Germany was powerful, he was greedy
