coze in 甜忌廉 there's sugar
but in 淡忌廉 there's no sugar
if i were u, i won't dare to try to use 甜忌廉 in stead of 淡忌廉 when baking a cake
but if u are making cream, the one for covering cakes, i think it is ok to use 甜忌廉
