How to overclock a cpu like intel core 2 duo (n E6600)?

you overclock a cpu, and most of the computers parts in your system's BIOS which is a little program that is stored on your motherboard that makes everything work. you can overclock (o/c)a processor by raising its multiplyer or the 'front side bus' for the whole motherboard. the better the motherboard and components the easier it is to do this.

you can o/c your processor with yuor standard cpu cooler, but only to a certain degree after that the whole computer becomes unstable. there is alot of information about this on the interent. check out the sites and their forums i listed. people on there will teach you all you need to know.

There is no such thing as a 4GHz processor with out Overclocking. The Pentium D 3GHz processor is not as good. the E6600 supports virtualization and the other does not.

Why would you want to overclock a Core 2 Duo CPU? It's already fast enough. Overclocking is for the old days with slower CPUs and you want to push the juices out of them. If you do want to overclock, you need good memory chips. Also, you've gotta use some Taiwan made motherboards, such as Abit, Asus, Gigabyte and etc because those boards are made for that with a lot of options that you can play around in the BIOS. My pick is Asus. For a cpu cooler, just get a fan with high RPM but make sure its has a low noise ratio.

Whoa no matter what you need a cpu cooler, as for over clocking that can be done in BIOS but i wouldnt reccomend it, you can kill your processor and board, it heats up very well, and as for said before "you cant overclock intels", .... You can overclock both amds, and intels

If I was going to do this Id make sure I have enough money in the bank to buy a new cpu just in case it blows

last i heard, you cant overclock the intels..i dont know for sure though.
