1. Consider the following data:
Element Atomic Weight
A26.05
B12.01
A and B combine to form a new substance: X. If four moles of B atoms combine with one mole of A atoms to give one mole of X molecules, then the weight of one mole of X molecules is
(a) 47.5 g
(b) 74.09 g
(c) 83.09 g
(d) 154.0 g
(e) 166.09 g

2. Write chemical formulae i) hydrogen peroxide, ii) hydrogen bromide, iii) boron trichloride, iv) carbon tetrachloride, v) nitrogen trichloride and vi) oxygen dibromide.

✔ 最佳答案
1. (b) because 4moles of B atoms + 1 mole of A atoms
formula of X is AB4
one mole of X is 26.05+4*12.01=74.09g

2. i) H2O2
II) HBr
iii) BCl3
iv) CCl4 (it can call as tetrachloromethane)
v) NCl3
vi) Br2O

1)b
molar mass of X: 26.05+12.01*4=74.09 g mol-1

2)
i)H2O2
ii)HBr
iii)BCl4
iv)CCl4
v)NCl4
vi)Br2O
