16:9 LCD

This is the problem of 16:9 when you input 4:3 video signal. You cannot change it changing the resolution. Rather, check if your TV has functions to zoom and widen the 4:3 video signal. This of course will have draw backs as the former means there will be a cut of the top and bottom of the picutre, while the latter means that although in the centre the picture will not be widen, the picture on the two sides will be more widen.
